Lauren's baby shower
In exactly one week the twins will be here!
For those of you who already know my sister is expecting identical twin girls who are scheduled to be here April 10th which just so happens to be a week from today! I am so excited to be Aunt Mayme to two more little girls!
A few weekends ago I threw my sister a baby shower and I thought with the twins coming just a short week away what better timing to share photos from the baby shower. Thanks to everyone that was able to make it, and to those who sent gifts even when they couldn't make it! We had a great time and I think it was an overall success!

Enjoy!
My niece, Dallas, has wanted a sibling for so long and now she is getting two! I don't think she totally understands that soon she will a big sister but I know she will be a great one!
Lauren and me at the shower.
Decorations galor! My mom's dining room was the perfect place to set up the food and decorations! We bought so many flowers from our friend Shirley who is a florist and I spent the evening before arranging them into so many vintage vases my mom has collected over the years. The diaper wreath I put together the week before and was nervous about it falling apart, lucky for me it stayed in tack despite it's weight and looking great hanging on the front door.
Also, the cake! I'm still drooling over it!
The homemade strawberry cake I made was to die for, not to toot my own horn but it was probably the best cake I have ever made! With fresh strawberries from a local nearby farm (Frobergs) and fresh cut roses it was not only delicious but beautiful as well!

Thanks again to everyone who came out to Lauren's shower. We really appreciate all that you have done for her as well as her growing family. Be on the look out for photos of the twins who will be here so soon!
